First Freshener and bred to Bluff for March kids
A month after Macchi kidded this year, she was bit by a spider on her teat. It was horrible. It was a big black necrotic hole. It swelled up, and we could hardly milk it, and she continued to milk nearly a gallon a day. We were pretty sure she was going to loose the teat. Amazingly, it healed. Unfortunately, now she's left with a large teat that's mostly scar tissue. Macchi is a beautiful doe, with a globular, and wonderfully attached mammary system. She is also the sweetest tempered doe, and shows her self.
Our herd is now milking by machine, and it won't milk her large teat. She needs a home that will milk her by hand. It's just as easy to milk as the other side, just feels awkward. Macchi is going to blossom in a few years. She's incredibly level and smoothly blended. This is a really special doe, and if we didn't have two half sisters her age, we would keep her.
